Masih ingat dengan lagu "Rabbee I'm Yours" yang pernah aku post? Sekarang aku akan membahas sedikit tentang penyanyi lagu itu. Let's see!
Penyanyi dari lagu "Rabbee I'm Yours" adalah Raef. Aku pertama kali tau Raef dari re-tweetannya Maher Zain. Waktu itu aku liat Maher Zain ngere-tweet tweet nya Raef. Karna penasaran siapa itu Raef, akhirnya aku stalk deh. Hehe.. Dan pas aku searching di google, terus aku liat video nya di YouTube, aku jadi tau siapa itu Raef. Raef ternyata adalah penyanyi religi. Selain menjadi penyanyi, Raef juga merupakan seorang guru dan musisi. Dia bekerja untuk Awakening Records (satu label dengan Maher Zain). Penyanyi yang lahir di Washington DC ini dikenal karena sering meng-cover lagu-lagu populer yang diganti liriknya jadi lebih Islami lalu dinyanyikan kembali dalam versi akustik. Sebagai contoh, Raef nge-cover lagu Jason Mraz yang judulnya "I'm Yours". Coba kalian perhatikan liriknya, ada yg diubah,

Selain lagu "I'm Yours", Raef juga nge cover lagu Chris Brown yang judulnya "With You". Raef ngeganti lirik lagu itu. Asalnya lagu itu mengekspresikan rasa cinta untuk perempuan, ia menggantinya dengan rasa cinta untuk Tuhan.
